Poorly installed flooring, inadequately maintained walkways, broken steps, cluttered walkways, and an accumulation of debris can all contribute to slips. Additionally, there may be a lack of suitable warning signs for hazardous areas.
To prevent slips and trips, workplaces should ensure walkways are regularly maintained and inspected. There should also be appropriate warning signs installed.
Electric Shocks
Electric shocks occur when a person comes into contact with an electrical current. This can either be directly or indirectly through a conductive material such as metal.
These shocks can range from mild and tingly to severe and shocking. People who work around sources of high-voltage electricity, such as circuit and utility boxes, generators, and machinery, are most at risk of sustaining an electric shock.
