IA 50 recognizes asset manager WaterEquity for the fifth consecutive year as one of 50 leading impact investment managers
KANSAS CITY, MO / ACCESSWIRE / March 16, 2023 / WaterEquity is delighted to be selected for the prestigious ImpactAssets 50 (IA 50) list for the fifth consecutive year (2019-2023). The ImpactAssets 50 recognizes a diverse group of impact fund managers with an established track record of delivering measurable social and environmental impact alongside financial returns.
'WaterEquity is honored to be included in the ImpactAssets 50 for a fifth consecutive year,' said WaterEquity's President, Paul O'Connell. 'This recognition is a tribute to our entire team, and the impact that we have collectively achieved to date. Our sole purpose has always been to build a sustainable, global capital market for safe water and sanitation that will directly reach the 2 billion+ people in need1. Against a backdrop of increasing investor interest in water, both for its own sake and for its impact on climate, recognition as an IA 50 Manager helps us achieve this mission.'

This year marks the 12th edition of the IA 50 and its publication comes when interest in ESG and impact investing funds are at an all-time high. For example, the 2023 edition of IA 50 features 163 fund managers representing $122 billion in assets under management. WaterEquity serves as a distinct example of the growth and innovation seen throughout the impact investing sector. Since its founding in 2016, WaterEquity has raised more than $350 million in committed capital for Sustainable Development Goal 6 and has reached more than 3.8 million people with access to safe water and sanitation across 16 countries, all while providing risk-adjusted returns to investors.
'This year's IA 50 showcase is a watershed, as the industry continues to allocate more investable assets into social and environmental solutions with both time-tested strategies and creative, new approaches. Established funds continue to impress, while new funds are bringing fresh approaches and insights that move the needle in critical areas through impact investing.'
