The US commander-in-chief comments on American attacks against Iranian nuclear sites
President Donald Trump has delivered a televised address from the White House, just hours after the United States carried out "massive precision strikes" on Iran's Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear sites.
"Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world's number one state sponsor of terror," Trump told the nation.
"Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success," he claimed. "Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated."
The US president went on to warn Tehran against retaliation, calling it the "bully of the Middle East."
