Aurora Gaming, Team Falcons, BetBoom Team and PARIVISION improved to 2-0 at the PGL Wallachia Season 8 group stage on Sunday in Bucharest, Romania.
Those four teams are now one win away from gaining entry to the playoffs. They'll face off against one another Monday for the first two berths.
Aurora rallied past Xtreme Gaming 2-1 and Falcons did the same against Team Spirit, while BetBoom blanked Team Liquid and PARIVISION swept HEROIC 2-0 apiece.
The $1 million Dota 2 tournament began Saturday with the 16-team group stage, which concludes Wednesday. Eight teams advance to the double-elimination playoffs on April 23-26. All matches are best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final.
On Sunday, Aurora dropped the first map against Xtreme in 36 minutes on red but they rebounded with a 31-minute win on red and a 35-minute victory on red. Similarly, Team Falcons lost its opener in 54 minutes on red before rallying for victories of 36 minutes and 44 minutes on green.
BetBoom skated past Liquid in 40 minutes on red and 29 minutes on green. PARIVISION took a pair of wins over HEROIC in 34 and 29 minutes, both on green.
Sunday's action also featured four matchups of 0-1 teams, and the four losing sides will face win-or-go-home situations Monday,
Vici Gaming came from behind for a 2-1 win over Natus Vincere, while Virtus.pro outlasted Tundra Esports 2-1. GamerLegion defeated MOUX 2-0, and South America Rejects upended Team Yandex by the same score.
